We Make Banks Serve the People

The Financial Sector Campaign Coalition (FSCC) is a non-profit, nonpartisan advocacy coalition formed in 2002 by over 50 community, labour, faith-based, cooperative and professional organisations.

We were born directly from the historic South African Communist Party Red October Campaign of 2001, which mobilised millions under the powerful call: “Make the Banks Serve the People”. At that time, only 25% of South Africans had bank accounts. The FSCC was created to turn that cry into real, lasting change.
